These are projects that I've worked on at one point or another, in no particular order. For a mostly complete listing of open source projects on which I've worked, you can view my GitHub profile.
CalorieGuru is the easiest way to calculate a super accurate total daily energy expenditure based off of your actual calorie consumption and weight change. Most calculators online are just rough estimates. They're great for most people, but can be off by a pretty wide margin.
myfitnesspal_stats is a Ruby gem used to scrape data from MyFitnessPal. Getting API access seems to be just about impossible, so this is the next best alternative. This is my fork of an old and unmaintained project that I'm trying to breathe life into.
Wirki is a social resume. My involvement with Wirki has been developing a Rails based API to power the React driven front end.
PastLife is a platform currently still in development used to create distinct groupings of users by location that can be used for various things. The platform makes heavy use of PostGIS, which has been a delight to learn the in and outs of.
Hammerspoon is a tool for powerful automation of OS X. I created the actual website and also contributed code for controlling both Spotify and iTunes. If you're interested, you can view my Hammerspoon configuration file here.
Millwright was born one day when my father and I were talking about a ticket system to help him out with a few things at the sawmill where he worked. I assured him that there were tons of applications that would meet his exact needs! Free, super easy to set up, and ready to use! Turns out there were not as many as I thought that met my criteria. Millwright is my attempt to create something that meets my criteria and works for people who aren't developing software.
I like beer an awful lot, and I enjoy trying new ones. I've had several beer related project ideas, but never really found an API that did everything I wanted. BrewData is a fork of defunt beer database that I had intentions of improving. HipsterBrew was my stab at creating an iOS application through Ionic framework to interface with my database. Neither project made it very far past the proof of concept phase, but I still think they're cool ideas that I'm going to persue one day.
