I listened to Big Data Baseball: Math, Miracles, and the End of a 20-Year Losing Streak as an audiobook while cycling and driving, so taking notes didn’t happen.
That being said, it was quite an enjoyable book! I’ve always been a big fan of using data to drive decisions, and it’s hard not to see that impact in baseball. The general idea of identifying areas where you can outperform your opponents by out-thinking them, and by using data to maximize the resources at your disposal, has a lot of application in the business world as well.
